AN INDUSTRY STANDARD GETS EVEN BETTER We’ve reengineered the pedal that established our reputation for innovation and quality. Because innovation is part of our DNA we thought it was time for some major improvements. Most notably, the toe clamp. The 5000 needed more gripping strength, providing a stronger connection between the drummer and kick drum. So, we developed the Tri-Pivot™ Toe Clamp (U.S. Patent No. 8330032). Three independent 360 degree, rotating rubber pads firmly pinch almost any diameter and thickness bass drum counter hoop from the top and the bottom, with zero slippage. Add to that a new textured rubber grip pad on the base plate and we think you’ll agree that there’s never been a better system for attaching a pedal to a bass drum. Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to improve on the smoothness and feel of the 5000, if that was even possible. To accomplish this, we added a Dual Bearing Spring Rocker, making the 5000 quicker and more responsive.

Featuring a host of refinements and upgrades, the legendary line of 5000 Series bass drum pedals still features a choice of drive systems, aluminum hex shafts, pedal plates and linkages, 101 two-way beater, and built in spurs. These pedals can be customized to fit the needs of any player.

The conventional approach to the spring assembly (including previous Iron Cobra Pedals) has been to anchor the bottom of the spring while the top of the spring is being pulled from various angles throughout the pedal’s cycle. But a spring being pulled on at an angle represents wasted energy and causes turbulence. The Swivel Spring Tight assembly solves this problem, recapturing that lost energy and optimizing smoothness through the use of a contoured assembly that allows the base to swivel freely with the spring. This enables a straight spring pull during the pedal’s entire cycle, resulting in the smoothest, lightest action ever found on a bass drum pedal.

We’ve changed the construction of the Bearing Hinge on the footplate from a one-piece assembly to two pieces, which holds the bearing more evenly—minimizing stress, and maximizing smoothness, while adding to the pedal’s sense of power.

Oiles® Bearings are created from a mesh of bell brass material with a Teflon coating. They eliminate unwanted side-to-side motion while providing superior smoothness.

While the overall size of the pedal hasn’t changed, we’ve slightly extended the footboard’s length by repositioning the hinge closer to the rear of the heel plate. This adjustment increases the sense of ease and control the player has over the pedal, especially when exerting downward pressure on the footboard.

Weighing in at 40% less than our previous Iron Cobra cam, the round, Rolling Glide “LiteSprocket” revolves naturally and smoothly, contributing to a lighter more responsive feel.

Designed to begin working just before the beater makes contact with the bass drum head—the Cobra Coil ensures the footboard’s fastest possible return to its original position, without adding any extra resistance.

In an effort to eliminate or minimize any source of friction, the Speedo-Ring with its high-precision ball bearing assembly eclipses all previous rocker cam technology.

First introduced to the US market in 2006, the AC15CC series was an orientally produced replacement to the AC15TB models that had been made for Vox by Marshall. The AC15TB models ended production in 2004.
The all tube, 15 watt amp also featured a pressed board enclosure with all the Vox cosmetic touches: basket weave vinhyde, brown Vox diamond grill cloth, gold string, gold plated logo, gold grill molding, white grill piping, a Vox logo handle, and eight black plastic two pin corners.

The AC15CC1 had one 16 ohm 12″ Vox Wharfedale speaker, designed to tonally resemble the famous “green backed” speaker used by Vox from the 70s through the 90s. The AC15CC1X had one 12″ Vox Alnico Blue speaker made by Celestion. The only difference between the two AC15CC models was the speaker.

The AC15CC amps had two ECC83 (12AX7) preamp and two EL84 power tubes.

The amp also included a master volume control, tremolo, and spring reverb.

MESA / BOOGIE has had its famous and already established dual and triple Rectifier models revised to make them thomann even more versatile. Here meticulous comparisons with its predecessors and also with the older 2-channel versions have been taken in. The MOTIF was succeeded by the MOTIF ES which has doubled the enormous power of the MOTIF. Now it’s time to double the MOTIF ES – time for the MOTIF XS. The 128 voices of the XS’s AWM2 Tone Generator are based on 2.670 Waveforms in the large 355 MB Wave-ROM which can be expanded by up to 1 GB of Sample-RAM for further samples. Each Voice can consist of up to eight Elements, which can be dynamically activated in the “Expanded Articulation” mode (“XA-Mode”) to simulate different playing styles of acoustic instruments in a very realistic way. Use Performances to arrange up to four Voices in layers and splits over the keyboard. Thanks to its intelligent chord recognition the 4-part Arpeggiator and its 6,000 Phrases supplies the perfect accompaniment. With one press on the Record button you can record directly from the Performance mode into the sequencer – perfect to sketch your ideas. The Master-Mode divides the keyboard in up to eight zones and makes the MOTIF XS a perfect Masterkeyboard. Control the XS in real time with Ribbon Controller, Modulation and Pitch Bend wheel, 2 buttons, 8 Knobs and 8 Faders. The large color LC-display (320 x 240 Pixel) delivers the best overview. Un corredo di suoni non indifferente: più di 1050 programmi e 700 effetti combinabili liberamente; i suoni sono desunti dai classici Sound Blocks Kurzweil, finalmente fusi in un unico corredo ROM (orchestra, contemporary, piano, eccetera), cui bisogna affiancare i due motori di sintesi alternativi, cioè il KB3 per la simulazione dell’organo elettrofonico e il KVA per la timbrica virtual analog. La polifonia di 64 note è spalmabile sulla politimbricità a 16 parti (una per ciascun canale previsto dal protocollo MIDI). Tutto ciò può essere trattato con 10 effetti insert e 2 Aux Send. La plancia comandi ospita: 8 pad retroilluminate sensibili alla dinamica, 5 potenziometri assegnabili ad una matrice di quindici parametri predefiniti, 5 interruttori assegnabili ad una matrice di dieci parametri, pitch & modulation wheel. Due interruttori sono dedicati all’innesco dell’arpeggiatore di bordo; un altro gruppo di controlli è invece previsto per le operazioni base di avanzamento del sequencer interno. Metà del display visualizza in tempo reale a cosa corrisponde al controllo che state utilizzando. Riguardo le connessioni sono presenti: l’ascolto in cuffia, la porta stereo out Left/Right in formato TRS; non è presente alcun tipo di ingresso analogico, è presente un digital output coassiale. Tre pedali (due switch e un foot control) possono essere collegati ad altrettanti ingressi e gestiti via software. Oltre alla porta MIDI In/Out/Thru, è prevista la connessione USB in formato A e B, per il dialogo bidirezionale con il Mac/PC (per il solo MIDI over USB, niente trasmissione audio) e per la scrittura diretta su chiavetta dati. Un programma può usare la sintesi V.A.S.T., con accesso diretto alle timbriche ROM, può ricorrere alle nove tonewheel virtuali del KB3 per simulare l’organo Hammond, può evocare la KVA, per spremere il comportamento virtual analog. Se si lavora in V.A.S.T., si possono sovrapporre fino a 32 layer diversi (ciascuno dotato di multisample o di oscillatori virtual analog).
